Although it’s been dry so far apart from a quick Halloween shower, that’s changing as we head into the evening. Some poorly timed showers move in tonight before sunshine and 70s return Tuesday. Until tonight: Unfortunately for trick-or-treating, raindrops are a good bet for much of the evening. There may be some lull for a bit in the early afternoon maybe somewhere in the 5-7pm time frame....
Police say it happened around midnight Saturday when they were called to the Rapid Transitway near the corner of Pembina Highway at Chancellor Drive. Investigators say the female victim was sitting inside the bus shelter when a man approached her holding a knife. The suspect told her to strip and threatened to hurt her if she didn’t comply. Police say the victim was then physically and sexually assaulted. An arriving Transit bus interrupted the attack and the suspect fled southbound with some of the victim’s property....
