More than a dozen reports about the candies were received by the major crimes unit. All of them came from families who were trick-or-treating in the south Smokin’s neighborhood, police said. The children who received the edibles were six to 16 years old, police said. “I’m upset that it happened, as a parent,” said Winnipeg police Const. Dani McKinnon said at a press conference on Wednesday. “As a police officer, unfortunately, I’m not surprised.” A search warrant was executed at a house at the south end of Coleraine Crescent, where the man and woman were taken into custody.
