The answer to this question is a little complicated. Verizon does not delete text messages, but it can choose to do so in its discretion. If you have sent a text message that you believe has been deleted by Verizon, you can file a claim with the company.
– First go into Settings on your device and tap Data Usage -> Mobile Data -> Show All Apps (scroll down). You should now see an alphabetized list of any apps or services using data drain on battery life. Find anything related to Verizon, with a grey bar on the right side of their name
– Tap it to delete any data drainers be careful because deleting an app can mean you’ll no longer have access to its features. Though in this case we’re just trying to save battery life and memory! Check which apps are using Verizon’s services by scrolling through the list until you find items related to “Verizon”.
Steps:
-Tap the “Settings” icon in your phone’s home screen – Scroll down to “Usage”, and tap it. This will show you a list of all apps draining data from your battery life or memory storage, ranked by which are using the most power. Find anything related to Verizon. A grey bar on the right side of their name means they’re currently running on your device! – Tap any app that has an arrow next to its name if you want more information about what type of data is being used (Web Accesses/Images Sent) and how much space each item takes up. Once you’ve found the app, tap it and scroll down to “Clear Data.”
