If you are like most people, you probably use iCloud to store your photos, music, and other important files. But if you have an iPhone, there is a way to backup your text messages without using iCloud.
To do this, you will need to create a new folder on your iPhone called “Backup.” Then, in this new folder, you will need to create a file called “backup.txt.”
In the backup.txt file, you will need to include the following information:
Your name
Your phone number (optional)
The date and time of your message (optional)
You can also include a note if you want:
This message is for my friend John who just moved into town. I hope he likes his new house!

If you’re like most iPhone users, you probably rely on iCloud to keep your text messages safe and accessible. But what if you need to back up your text messages without using iCloud? Here’s how to do it. To backup your text messages without using iCloud, first make sure that you have installed the Messages app on your iPhone. Then open the app and tap on the “History” button in the bottom left corner. This will display a list of all of your text messages, as well as their timestamps. Next, select a message from this list and tap on the “Copy” button in the top right corner. This will copy the message’s contents to your clipboard. Now, open a text editor on your computer and paste the copied content into it. You can use any text editor that you want, but we recommend using something like TextWrangler or Notepad++ because they offer great features for editing text files. Once you’ve pasted in the content of the selected message, hit Ctrl+S (orCmd+S on Mac) to save it as a file. You can name this file whatever you want, but we recommend naming it “backup_text_message.txt.” ..
