If you’re like most people, you probably rely on your iPhone to stay connected to your Macbook Pro. But what if you need to use your iPhone without a USB cable? Here’s how to do it. First, make sure that your iPhone is turned on and connected to the internet. Next, open the “System Preferences” app on your Macbook Pro. In System Preferences, click on “Devices.” You’ll see a list of all of the devices that are currently connected to your computer. Click on the name of the device that you want to connect—in this case, it’s going to be “iPhone.” Now, in the “General” tab of the “iPhone” device’s preferences window, click on “USB.” You’ll see a list of all of the USB devices that are currently connected to your computer. Find and select the USB cable that you used to connect your iPhone to your Macbook Pro in Step 1. Click on the “Use as…” button next to it and choose “Macbook Pro (Thunderbolt 2).” Now, in the “Settings” tab of the “iPhone” device’s preferences window, click on “General.” You’ll see a list of all of the settings for this particular device. Scroll down until you find and select “[Data Sharing]” from this list. In this setting, you’ll be able to decide whether or not other people can access any data that is stored on your iPhone—including photos and videos—via a shared connection between your Macbook Pro and iPhone. If you want other people to be able to access this data, make sure that checkbox is checked! ..
