If you’re like most people, you probably delete files on your iPhone every day. But what if you don’t have a lot of space on your phone? What if you want to keep some files but don’t want them in your Downloads folder? There are a few ways to delete files from your iPhone without having to delete them all at once. Here are three methods:
- Delete Files by Category: This is the easiest way to delete files by category. Type “deleting” into the Spotlight search bar and hit “delete.” The categories that will be deleted are “Photos,” " Videos," and “Documents.”
- Delete Files by Date: This method is more complicated than the first, but it’s also the most efficient. Type “deleting” into the Spotlight search bar and hit “delete.” Then, select the date that you want to delete the file from. For example, if you want to delete a file on July 1st, type " deleting July 1st" into the Spotlight search bar and hit “delete.”
- Delete Files with a Command Line Interface: If you don’t have Spotlight or if deleting files is not an option for you, there are other ways to deletes files on your iPhone. One way is to use a command line interface (CLI). To do this, open up Terminal and type “cd /Users/username/Library/Application Support/iPhoneOS/PlugIns/” where username is your name and Library is where your iPhone’s Applications folder is located. For example, if username is John and Library is /Users/John/.Library/, then Terminal would say cd /Users/John/.Library/Application Support/iPhoneOS/PlugIns/.
