If you’re a Google user, you may be familiar with the feature called “Smart Lock.” Smart Lock allows you to password protect your devices, including your Google account. If someone gets hold of your device and tries to access it without having your password, they’ll be met with an error message. If you’re not a Google user and don’t have Smart Lock enabled on your devices, there’s a way to disable it without having to go through the hassle of resetting everything. All you need is a computer and some software. To disable Smart Lock on your devices, first open the Google Settings app and click on the Security tab. Under “Privacy,” select “Notify me when I lose my password.” Then click on the “Disable” button next to “Smart Lock.”
