If you’re like most people, you probably use your iPhone to access the internet, check email, and make phone calls. But what about the apps that you don’t use as often? You may not know where to look for them. Here are a few tips to help you find hidden apps on your iPhone 8:
- Look for hidden icons in the system tray. If there’s an app icon in the system tray but it’s not listed on the App Store or in the App Store’s list of installed apps, it may be hidden behind a menu item or a control panel option. To find out what these options are, open System Preferences and click on the General tab. There you’ll see a list of options that pertain to your iPhone 8 including hidden icons and controls.
- Use Spotlight search to search for hidden apps. Spotlight is an amazing feature of iOS that lets you search through all of your files and folders like a file explorer without having to type each name out every time. To use Spotlight search, open up Finder and type “ios” into the Spotlight bar at the top of the screen (or press Command-F5). Then press Return (or hit Return again if you’re using an iPad). The app will start searching through all of your files and folders based on what was typed in as well as any other conditions that were set up in Preferences (like whether or not to show results based on location).
