Google Family Link is a service that allows parents to keep track of their children’s online activities and connect with them through a secure connection. Chromebooks running the Google Family Link software can be used to access the service, which is available on both Google Play and the Chrome Web Store. To install Google Family Link on a Chromebook, first make sure that you have the latest version of Chrome installed. Then open Chrome and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen. This will show you a list of your current browsers. Choose Google Family Link from among these options and click on it. Once you have clicked on Google Family Link, you will be taken to a page where you can enter your child’s name and email address. You will also be able to choose whether or not to have your child’s activities tracked by Google. If you choose to have your child’s activities tracked, then you will need to provide some information about them such as their age, gender, and activity level. You can also choose whether or not to allow other people to view your child’s activities. Once you have entered all of this information, then click on the blue check mark next to your child’s name in the page header. This will start tracking your child’s online activity for the next 24 hours and send you an email every time there is an update or change in their online status. You can also view their online activity in detail by clicking on one of their profiles in the page header or by using one of the tools that are available in order to track their progress more effectively.
