If you’re having trouble seeing Stories from people you follow on Instagram, there’s a good chance they’ve blocked you. Blocking someone on Instagram is a way to prevent them from seeing your posts and messages, and it can be frustrating if you don’t know how to unblock someone. Here’s how to check if someone has blocked you, and how to unblock them if they have:

  1. Open up the Instagram app on your phone.
  2. Tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Under “Settings,” tap on “Privacy & Security.”
  4. Under “Blocked Users,” tap on the person you want to check if they’ve blocked you. If their name is highlighted in green, they have blocked you and there’s nothing you can do about it! If their name isn’t highlighted in green, then they haven’t blocked you yet but may do so in the future - be sure to keep an eye out for updates!
