If you’re like most people, you probably rely on your iPhone’s battery to last as long as possible. But what if the battery isn’t holding a charge as well as it used to? You could try to find an official charger, but that might be too expensive or time-consuming. Or you could try making an uncertified charger work. Here’s how:
- Get a standard iPhone charger. This will need to be able to plug into an outlet and provide power to your phone.
- Find a USB cable that is the same length as your original iPhone cable. This will need to be able to plug into the charger and into your phone.
- Cut off one end of the USB cable so that it is just shorter than the original iPhone cable. Strip off any plastic or insulation from this end of the USB cable, so that it is just a wire mesh.
- Connect this wire mesh end of the USB cable to the positive (+) side of the charger, and connect the other end of the USB cable to your phone’s port (usually on its bottom). Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are securely plugged in! ..
