If you have an iPhone, there is a good chance that you have some personal data stored on it. If you don’t want to lose that data or if you want to reset your iPhone’s fingerprint, here are some tips to help you do so.
- Open the Settings app and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. There, you will find a section called “Privacy.” In this section, you will find a list of items called " Fingerprints." Scroll down and click on the “Reset Fingerprints” button.
- After clicking on the button, your iPhone will start asking for your fingerprints. You will need to provide them in order to reset your fingerprint. Once your fingerprints are provided, your iPhone will start resetting them and will finish within a few minutes.
- After resetting your fingerprint, be sure to close all of your apps and reopen them in order for them to update their fingerprints properly. You may also want to try refreshing your browser in order to ensure that all of your personal data is properly backed up again should something go wrong during the reset process.
