If you have an iPhone that has been disabled by a computer or iOS update, there are a few ways to restore it to factory settings without iTunes. This guide is for an iPhone 5C or newer.
- Open the Settings app and navigate to General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
- Select the iPhone 5C or newer from the list of devices and click on Reset.
- Enter your Apple ID and password and click on Reset button.
- The iPhone will restart and you will see a message asking if you want to continue or finish resetting the device. Click on Continue button to finish resetting the device.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone and turn on Find My iPhone. Make sure you’re signed in to the same iCloud account on your computer and iPhone. On your computer, open a web browser and go to icloud. com/find.
