If you’re like most Instagram users, you probably share your favorite videos on the platform by posting them to your story. But if you want to share a full, original tikTok video, it can be a bit more complicated than just tapping the “share” button. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open your story and tap on the camera icon in the top left corner.
  2. Tap on the “video” button in the bottom left corner of the screen and select “full video.”
  3. If you want to add music or effects to your video, now is a good time to do so. Tap on the three lines in the bottom right corner of the screen and select from among your favorite options.
  4. To start recording, simply press down on the center of your phone and hold it until you see a green light appear in the top right corner of your screen (or until your phone vibrates).
