If you’re like most gamers, you probably have an Xbox controller lying around somewhere. Maybe it’s in your closet, maybe it’s in your basement - but chances are, at some point you’ll want to take it apart and fix or upgrade the parts. Here’s how to do it.
- Start by removing the screws that hold the controller together - there are six of them on each side. Once they’re out, gently pull the controller apart until it separates into its individual pieces.
- Now that the controller is separated into its individual parts, you can start fixing or upgrading whatever needs fixing or upgrading. If your controller has a broken button or joystick, for example, you can replace them with new ones from a hardware store or online retailer.
- Finally, put everything back together and enjoy your newly fixed Xbox controller! ..
