Xbox One owners can tether their devices to the console using a variety of methods. The most common way to tether your phone is by using an Xbox One’s built-in Ethernet port. You can also use a USB cable and an ethernet cord to connect your phone to the Xbox One. To tether your phone, first make sure that you have the latest update for Xbox One’s firmware. If you don’t have the update, you can download it from Microsoft’s website. Once you have the update, open Xbox One and sign in with your Microsoft account. Then, go to Settings and select Networking. Under Tethering, select “Use this device as a modem for internet access on my Xbox One” if you want to use your phone as a modem for internet access on your Xbox One. If you don’t want to use your phone as a modem for internet access on your Xbox One, select “Do not tether this device” instead. Once you have selected “Use this device as a modem for internet access on my Xbox One,” make sure that both devices are connected to the same network and that they are both turned off or disconnected from other networks (if they are connected). Then press play on either device and wait until both devices are connected before starting up the game or streaming content from your phone onto the console.
