If you’re like most people, you probably have voice memos stored on your iPhone. These are short, easy-to-read memos that you can use to capture thoughts and ideas during conversations. If you want to keep these voice memos on your computer, you’ll need to sync them with your computer. This is a process that involves copying the voice memo files to your computer, then editing them so they’re ready for printing. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the Voice Memo app on your iPhone. This is the app that comes with the iPhone. If you don’t have it, get it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/voice-memo/id1376960912?mt=8 .
  2. On the main screen of the Voice Memo app, click on “Create New Recording.” This will open a new window where you can enter a name for your recording and choose a location for it to be stored (you can also choose not to store it). You can also choose whether or not to save the recording as a video file. Click on “Create Recording.”
  3. On the next screen, enter a description of your recording and click on “Save.” The description will be updated with any changes that happen while you’re recording (e.g., if someone talks into the phone while you’re recording). Click on “Save.”
  4. To print out your recording, open up an editor such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator and create a document that’s about twice as large as what was used in step 3 (e.g., if your original voice memo was about 100KB). Click on “Print” and select “Save As PDF.” The document will be saved in PDF format and will look like this: Now that you’ve created a printable copy of your voice memo, all you need do is transfer it onto your computer!
