If you’re like most people, you probably use Instagram to share photos and videos with your friends and followers. But if you want to stop comments from appearing on your posts, there are a few steps you can take.

  1. Open Instagram and sign in.
  2. Click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen (the one that looks like a gear wheel). This will open a menu with options such as “settings.”
  3. On the “settings” screen, click on the “commenting” tab.
  4. In this tab, you’ll find a list of options such as “enable comments.” If you’ve enabled comments on your posts before, then they’ll be grayed out and unclickable, but if you haven’t yet, they’ll be active and available to be commented on.
  5. Click on the checkbox next to “enable comments.” This will enable comments for all of your posts in this account, including those that have been deleted or hidden since they were last commented on.
