If you’re a fan of the Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, there’s a good chance that you’ve turned off his “Ken Burns effect” in your Imovie app on your iPhone. This feature allows you to see the filmmaker’s narration and graphics in a more traditional television style, without the added bonus of his trademark animation. If you’re not a fan of the effect, there are ways to disable it without turning off Imovie altogether. The first step is to open Imovie and select “Settings.” Then, under “General,” select “Appearance.” Under “Appearance,” select “Text Size.” Finally, under “Text Size,” select “Small.” If you still don’t have the effect turned off, there are other ways to do it. One way is to open Imovie and select “Edit” from the main menu. Then, under “History,” select “Delete All Content.”
