If you’re using Instagram as your personal social media platform, you may be using two factor authentication to protect your account. Two factor authentication is a security measure that requires you to provide two pieces of information, such as your username and password, in order to access your account. If one of those pieces of information is lost or stolen, you can’t access your account. To turn off two factor authentication on Instagram, follow these steps:
- Open Instagram and sign in.
- Under the “Accounts” tab, click on the “Sign In” button.
- Enter your username and password into the fields below.
- Click on the “Sign In” button again and confirm your identity by clicking on the “Confirm” button.
- If you’re using an iPhone or Android device, open Instagram’s settings and select “Two Factor Authentication.” If you’re using a computer or mobile device, open Instagram’s main menu and select “Account.”
