If you’re like most people, your iPhone 4 is constantly on, whether you’re using it to check email, play music or just use the phone as a normal device. But if you’re not careful, your iPhone can become a battery hog. Here are some tips to help turn off your iPhone 4 so it can stay power-efficient:
- Disable background tasks: One way to reduce the amount of time your iPhone spends running background tasks is to disable them altogether. To do this, open Settings and select General > Background Tasks. Under “Task”, select “Do not run tasks when I’m not using this device” and then click OK.
- Use a low-power battery: If you use a low-power battery in your iPhone 4, it may help to turn off some of the features that run in the background such as AirPlay and Bluetooth support. To do this, open Settings and select General > Battery > Low Power Battery and then click on the desired option.
- Disable location services: If you use location services on your iPhone 4, it may help to disable them altogether by opening Settings and selecting Privacy > Location Services and then clicking on the desired option. This will also disable any other background activities that may be running while location services are enabled.
