If you’re like most people, you probably use Instagram to keep in touch with friends and family. But if you’re a fan of the platform, there’s a good chance you also follow people you don’t know. There are a few ways to unfollow someone on Instagram without having to leave the app:

  1. Type their name into the search bar and hit “Search.” This will show all of the people that person follows on Instagram. Type “unfollow” into the search bar and hit “Find.” You’ll see all of the people that person has unfollowed, as well as any other options that may be available.
  2. Click on one of the arrows next to each person’s name in the list on the left side of the screen. This will take you to their profile page on Instagram where you can see all of their posts and comments. If they’ve recently unfollowed you, they’ll have an arrow next to their name that says “Unfollow Me.” If they haven’t recently unfollowed anyone, they’ll have an arrow next to their name that says " Follow Me." Click on either arrow to follow them back!
