Skype is a popular VoIP application that allows users to make and receive phone calls, as well as send and receive text messages. However, if you no longer need Skype on your Android device, it can be easily uninstalled. To uninstall Skype on Android:
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Search for “Skype” and install the app if it is not already installed.
- Once the Skype app has been installed, open it and click on the “Settings” button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Open the Skype app and scroll down until you see a ‘Quit Skype’ button.
Tap it to quit Skype and close the app.
From your home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Applications or Application Manager > All apps (depends on which version of Android you have). Locate Skype and swipe up or click Uninstall if it is an older version of Skype for Android. If not, press Disable instead.
Press Done when asked if you want to delete all Skype messages from your device’s memory card as well as disable the application so that it cannot be re-installed without your permission in future.
