If you have a Google account and you are a family member of someone who has a Google account, there are some steps you can take to unlink your accounts.

  1. Log in to your Google account and click on the three lines in the top left corner of the main screen. This will open a dialog box with several options.
  2. In the leftmost column, select “Accounts.” This will show all of your accounts, including your family member’s Google account.
  3. In the rightmost column, select “Google.” This will show only your family member’s Google account.
  4. Click on the link next to “Google Account” in the leftmost column and it will take you to a page where you can enter their name and password for their Google account. You may need to enter these values multiple times if there are multiple accounts for them (e.g., if they have two different Gmail addresses). Once they have entered their password, they will be able to log in to their Google account using that password only.
