There has been much talk lately about the possibility of playing Xbox and Playstation 4 games cross platform. So, is it possible? The short answer is yes, but it’s not as simple as just turning on a switch. There are a few things that need to happen for this to work. First, the game developers need to create versions of their games that can be played on both platforms. This means creating separate code for each version of the game, as well as making sure that the graphics and gameplay are identical. If these two things are not done correctly, then the game will not play properly on either system. Second, each system needs to have a way to communicate with each other. This means having a common network protocol and sharing data between the two systems. If this isn’t done correctly, then games will not be able to connect or play properly. Finally, both systems need to have enough players willing to try out cross platform gaming. So far, this has been difficult because many people are loyal to one system or the other.
