Emergency services ran to Hawick High School on Buccleuch Street in Borders shortly before 3pm on Friday 10 June. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent two devices and firefighters remain at the scene at this time. The crews are working to reduce and extinguish the fire, which is said to be the result of a solar panel fire. Police confirmed that the building had been evacuated and the incident is not being treated as a suspect. There are no reports of casualties.
