A fog warning is in effect for Toronto and most of southern Ontario.
According to Environment Canada “visibility can be significantly and suddenly reduced to almost zero”.
“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility,” the agency warned in a fog warning. “If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and prepare to stop.”
Metrolinx warned GO Transit customers early Thursday that heavy fog could cause minor delays on trains and buses during the morning rush.

Toronto Pearson International Airport said it is still operating, but inbound flights may be delayed and passengers are advised to check their flight status with their airline before departing for the airport.
The fog is expected to clear late this morning, around noon. The rest of the day is expected to be partly cloudy with a temperature of 15C, with mists developing again this afternoon.
