On Sunday, Nov. 6, around 9:00 p.m., a person attended a business in the 400 block of Great Northern Road where an altercation occurred. The accused pulled a knife and threatened the victim, Sault Ste. Marie Police said in a news release. Officers responded and one person was arrested. A subsequent investigation revealed that the defendant was in possession of a knife. Codie Denis, 19, is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 23.
