Thanksgiving Day is a closed day in Newfoundland and Labrador, meaning most businesses, schools, and municipal and provincial government offices are closed for the day. There will be no waste or recycling collection in the capital today. Garbage that was supposed to be picked up today will be picked up tomorrow along with the trash normally scheduled for Tuesday. The waste management facility at Robin Hood’s Bay is closed to both residential and commercial users. Paid parking regulations will not apply.
