A 23-year-old Totton woman remains in a critical condition with injuries following the incident on Monday, October 31, in which she was hit by a brick pallet. The victim was walking along Southampton Road through Lyndhurst at 12.15pm. when pallets of bricks were thrown from a passing truck and hit her. He was seriously injured and taken to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Following the incident, Hampshire Constabulary appealed for any witnesses to come forward. A spokesman said: “Police would like to speak to the driver of a Pitter self-propelled lorry, who was seen trying to lift the lorry driver prior to the incident, to warn him about the unsafe load. “This person has a lot of vital evidence that could help the investigation. These vehicles traveled from Rushington to Lyndhurst along the A35. “We would therefore like to hear from anyone who either saw the above, the incident itself or has any information that could help. “Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting 44220442367.”
