Between $85 and $89.99, fuel tax will be set at 4.5 cents per litre. Between $80 and $84.99, Albertans will be charged nine cents per litre. And any price below $80 a barrel will bring back the full tax of 13 cents a liter. “In the first six months of the program, Albertans have saved $630,000,000 in fuel tax relief,” Finance Minister Jason Nixon said in a statement. “Albertans will save over $200,000,000 over the next three months with the fuel tax savings of 8.5 cents per litre,” he added.
