Another person was hospitalized with a gunshot wound, police said.
Police say the shooting happened just before 3:30 p.m. It is unclear whether the shooting took place inside the school or not.
Woburn Collegiate and Woburn Junior Public School are both on lockdown and police say they are on scene checking on students.
The suspect was last seen leaving the area heading west and is described as a black male wearing a black jacket and a ‘Covid mask’.
