West Yorkshire Police said the incidents are not connected. The first happened in the early hours of October 23 when police were called to reports of an ongoing disturbance in Grattan Road. Officers found two men with stab wounds. Then last weekend, police were called to Sackville Street in the early hours of Sunday morning after reports of a fight in the street. A 27-year-old man was found at the scene with injuries, which are believed to have been caused by a knife. The latest, officers were called to Kirkgate at around 1.45am. today for reports of an ongoing fight. A 30-year-old man was treated in hospital for a neck injury and has since been released. A tent was in place for much of the day, but the extensive cordon has now been removed. Inspector Andy Milner of the Bradford Neighborhood Team said: “My local officers have been working with partners over the last few months in relation to the night time economy to keep people safe when visiting the city centre. “We run targeted operations targeting anti-social behavior and have deployed plainclothes officers who attend licensed premises to target the supply of illegal drugs. “We will continue our visible presence in the city center as we want people to have a fun and safe night out on the town. “The incidents we have seen in recent weeks have been isolated and targeted and our colleagues at Bradford CID are investigating them. “Three men were arrested in connection with an incident in Sackville Street on October 30 and have been bailed pending further enquiries. “I would continue to appeal to anyone who was in the city center who saw the match in the early hours of this morning at Kirkgate to come forward.” Naz Shah, MP for Bradford West, whose constituency includes the city centre, said she spoke to Inspector Milner this morning about the ongoing work in the city centre.
