Braya Renewable Fuels, which is converting the Come By Chance refinery to renewable fuel production, has issued a Request for Proposal to provide green hydrogen as a feedstock for its operations. The company is also considering exporting green ammonia for local, regional and international markets. Braya says that producing diesel from renewable sources requires significant amounts of hydrogen each year. The company previously had access to hydrogen produced from natural gas or methane, also known as “grey” hydrogen. The company says it is interested in producing the lowest possible carbon intensity rating by acquiring green hydrogen to support its operations.
