Capt. Cameron Henderson of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said officers responded to a breach call after 2 p.m. Thursday. He said that the pop singer’s first husband, Jason Alexander, was arrested at the ceremony site. Alexander was arrested after police noticed he had an arrest warrant in another county, Henderson said. Earlier on Thursday, Alexandros posted a live video from his Instagram account as he approached the security of the event. Walking around what seemed to be a mostly empty but decorated house and gardens, he repeatedly told them that Spears had invited him. “She’s my first wife, my only wife,” said Alexander, who was briefly married to Spears – his childhood friend – in 2004. Their marriage lasted only 55 hours. “I am her first husband,” she continued in the video. “I’m here to ruin the marriage.” Variety reported that lawmakers were still investigating what had happened and would determine whether additional charges would be brought against Alexander in connection with the allegation of breach. Spears was also married for two years to dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons, aged 14 and 15. Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari were expected to get married on Thursday. The couple met on the set of a music video in 2016. They announced their engagement in September last year, shortly before Spears won a court battle with her family and was released from a 13-year conservative service in November. A Spears spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
