The actor and entertainer was best known for his role as Brian ‘Bumper’ Humphreys in Channel 4 soap opera between 1988 and 1991. James – known to friends as Jim – was living in a final state. He had recorded a YouTube interview about his experiences. He previously had bad pneumonia in early 2020, but recovered completely. James’ most recent appearance was on Corornation Street in January, where he played an actor named Bob alongside Mary Taylor (Patti Clare). It is believed that James, who lived in Preston, Lancashire, died suddenly.
