TIPS FROM THE POLICE

Police encourage business owners to take the following security measures to prevent burglary and entry:

Post on the doors / windows that the premises are monitored by an alarm company and that no money is stored on the spot. When closed, remove all cash from the cash registers and leave them open with the cash disks out and visibly empty. Clean all windows and floors before you leave and keep a log of when it will be finished. This can help researchers in the event of a burglary. Consider installing a surveillance / security system that can be monitored remotely. Consider placing security film on windows / windows to prevent easy entry. Keep some indoor lighting for overnight surveillance opportunities. Remove material around the outside of the business that can be used to enter the premises. Report to the police suspicious persons or vehicles that were observed during the opening hours.
