The sad twist for Nia is that when she moved in, Ime was already fully aware that his relationship with a married front office worker was going to explode. We’re told Ime knew way back in July that the team was aware of the case and was starting an investigation. Meanwhile, we’re told Nia only found out in the last few days … and only because Ime knew it was going public. Nia tells TMZ, via her rep Shannon Barr… “The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and community during this difficult time means so much to me. I ask that my privacy be respected as I process recent events. Above all, I am a mother and I will continue to focus on my children.” Social media backlash against Ime and support for Nia was swift once the Celtics announced Wednesday that they would be suspending him. In response, Ime said, “I want to apologize to our players, the fans, the entire Celtics organization and my family for letting them down.
