A CPD spokesman said multiple people were shot in the 2700-block of West Flournoy on the West Side. Chicago police did not immediately release information on the condition of the victims or whether any of them had died. The Chicago Fire Department said it dispatched at least 10 ambulances to the California and Polk area after reports of the shooting. They confirmed they transported 11 victims to area hospitals, including Stroger Hospital. Chicago fire officials said the youngest victim is 3 years old. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear. It was also not immediately known if anyone was being held. The investigation by the Chicago Police Department is ongoing.
