Thick smoke is billowing from the home near Husband Road and Cherry Lane, and large flames are also visible. A local resident says he first noticed smoke shortly before 10am. He says fire crews are now on the scene to put out the fire. “It looks like they’re getting a little water on it now, but you can see quite a bit [the smoke] from anywhere in the valley,” he said. “They’re starting to knock [the fire] down, but I should imagine the house is almost gone.’ Castanet will have more information as it becomes available.
