Photo: Kirsty O’Connor/PA Charlie Elphicke has been found guilty of three counts of sexually assaulting two women, less than a year after he resigned as the Conservative MP for Dover. Elphicke had denied the three charges, two of which involved a parliamentary employee. He was sentenced to two years and was released halfway through his sentence. His wife, Natalie Elphicke, who succeeded him as MP for Dover in December 2019, said she had filed for divorce.

Photo: UK Parliament/PA Rob Roberts, the Conservative MP for Deleen in north Wales, was found by the parliament’s independent panel to have made “significant” repeated unwanted sexual assaults on a former member of staff, as well as inappropriate comments of a sexual nature. He was suspended for 12 weeks by the Conservatives but was allowed to rejoin the party in October 2021. He is now an independent.

Photo: Chris McAndrew/UK Parliament/PA Former Conservative minister Andrew Griffiths was found by a high court judge to have raped his wife, subjected her to coercive control and physically assaulted her. Griffiths, who denied the allegations, resigned as an MP in November 2019 after it was revealed he had sent up to 2,000 sexual text messages to two much younger women. His wife, Kate Griffiths, who left him when the original stories broke, succeeded him as MP for Burton in Staffordshire. She divorced him and returned to her maiden name, Kniveton.

He is resigning as MP on April 28, triggering a by-election won by Labor on June 23.

Photo: Finnbarr Webster/Getty Images Neil Parish, the Conservative MP for Tiverton and Honiton, lost the whip and resigned his seat a day later after admitting watching pornography twice in the House of Commons. His resignation prompts a by-election which results in a decisive victory for the Liberal Democrats on 23 June.

An unnamed Conservative MP has been arrested on suspicion of rape and other sexual offences. The MP, who has not been named, has been ordered to stay away from Westminster while he is investigated by the Metropolitan Police. It remains under warranty.

Photo: UK Parliament/PA Chris Pincher, the deputy leader of the Conservatives, is stepping down after admitting he had “embarrassed myself and other people” following reports he drunkenly fondled two men at a private club. It is the second time Pincher has resigned from the whip’s office, having previously quit in 2017 after he was reported to have made an unwanted pass at a Tory campaigner.
