In a tweet posted on Wednesday, the YRP introduced the six pups – all of whom had just spent seven days working alongside officers, “putting their canine compatibility to the test”.
“All six dogs are ready for adoption to loving, forever homes with experienced dog owners,” the tweet reads.
The first four dogs – Houston, Walter, Banana and Emanual – are available for adoption at Brampton Animal Services, at 905-458-5800.

This week, six very good pound puppies help officers earn a position in the Canine Unit as handlers. In return, we help them find forever homes.
