The 45-year-old had gotten out of her car in a residential area in St Gallen in northeastern Switzerland, possibly to take something out of her boot, regional police said, according to Swiss news agency ATS. But then the car, which was on a slight incline, began to roll backwards. The woman tried in vain to stop the vehicle, before it fell to the ground and landed on her first. The car then crashed into another vehicle and bounced in the opposite direction, flipping over the woman a second time, police said. But then the car hit a pavement, sending it back towards the woman and crashing into her a third time, before finally hitting a wooden barrier and coming to a stop. The woman was taken to hospital in serious condition.
