The latest arrests were made between April and September 2022. Charges include obtaining sexual services from a person under 18, enticing a child to obtain sexual services from a person under 18, and soliciting sexual intercourse under 16 years old.
Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said a “significant incident” involved a person allegedly communicating with an undercover police officer over a five-month period.
“Through their communication, the subject arranged to meet in the Durham area with the officer for the purpose of purchasing sexual services,” police said in a Nov. 3 news release.
“The individual traveled approximately four hours across the province to facilitate this meeting where he was arrested by the police.”
