The actress is set to play Lola Pearce’s mother, according to The Sun, and is expected to have a brief stint in the soap. She was also a member of Holby City from 2007 to 2019, where she played the character Faye Morton. Lola recently received the devastating news that her cancer is terminal and the emergency surgery she underwent failed to completely remove the rapidly growing tumor in her brain. In emotional scenes aired on Thursday (November 3), Lola discovered there was nothing that could be done to save her. Danielle Harold, who plays Lola in the series, spoke of the “humbling experience” of filming this difficult story. In an interview with Inside Soap, she said: “I’m so happy this story is happening because it hasn’t been given time in the soap before. “It is nice to highlight this when there is so little funding for brain tumor research in the UK.
