A special night for the Academy Of Football saw two debutants start in Divin Mubama and Ollie Scarles and two more off the bench in Kaelan Casey and Kamarai Swyer, while 13 players who had come through the Hammers Academy system made the matchday squad. He was one of the more experienced players to open the scoring when Pablo Fornals latched on to a Ben Johnson cross to coolly score on his 150th appearance for the Club in the first half. Vladimír Coufal’s cross was headed goalwards by Mubama early in the second, the shot being deflected by an FCSB defender to double the lead. Fornals added his second – and the Irons’ third – with a smart finish after Ollie Scarles’ cross was headed into his path.
