Jack Grealish has given Graeme Souness the green light after being invited on a night out by the former Liverpool captain – but only if he can bring Paul Pogba along. Souness has taken aim at Grealish on several occasions in recent weeks, insisting in his latest Sportsmail column that the Man City winger must learn to live with negative comments. When discussing the criticism on talkSPORT, the 69-year-old joked: “I’d like a night out with Jack! I’m not sure I could stay with him, but I would enjoy a night out with him.’ Graeme Souness (R) jokingly accepts his offer of a drink to Jack Grealish (L) It didn’t take long for Grealish to accept Souness’s invitation, but he couldn’t resist mocking his biggest critic by inviting Pogba – who has also provoked Souness’s scrutiny on frequent occasions in the past – to join them. Along with two laughing emojis, the England international responded to talkSPORT’s quote on Twitter and said: “Let’s do it!! It’s enough to bring Pogba as +1′. It follows an ongoing row between the pair, with Souness claiming Grealish has not improved since his £100million switch from Aston Villa last summer. The 27-year-old scored his first goal of the season last weekend against Wolves after scoring just three league goals in his first season for the Citizens. Grealish and Paul Pogba were former rivals – and now the England ace wants him as a plus one Souness had said he was “not a quick learner”, prompting the player to reply: “I don’t know what his problem with me is. He always says things about me. “I try not to read too much into it. It’s difficult when it’s on Sky Sports and it’s all around the pitch at times. He was obviously a great player and won a lot, but I don’t know what he’s saying about me or what’s wrong with him.” Souness, who has spent five decades in football, insists he has no “vendetta” against Grealish or Pogba, who he also criticized during his time at Manchester United. Of the now Juventus star, he said: “When I went to Paul Pogba, it was because it was Manchester United and I think I was the first to call Pogba as a midfielder in our league. I think at the end of the day I was proven to be 100 percent right.” French midfielder Pogba, 29, is currently playing for Serie A side Juve after his contract at Old Trafford expired in the summer. Grealish is currently in England before returning to take part in the Manchester derby on October 2. Grealish’s next game for City is the Manchester derby – the first since Pogba joined Juventus
