If there’s any question about whether the brands will be working with Johnny Depp again after testing it … look no further than a resurrected Dior campaign that will air in prime time this week. Depp’s face and musical talent are on display at one point for Dior’s Sauvage Men’s Fragrance, and we caught it in the air during “MasterChef” on FOX on Wednesday night at 8-9 p.m. Depp signed with the company in 2015 as the face of the perfume, but seems to have rekindled recently, given the fuss surrounding his trial with Amber Heard. The commercial was filmed years ago, when the campaign was first launched, but for obvious reasons, it was not exactly in sharp rotation. More details of the return Sep Sephora also started promoting the fragrance with an Instagram ad that reappeared in late May. We contacted Dior to ask if the company was deliberately bringing Depp’s face back into the men’s perfume game, but they have not contacted us. Interestingly enough, a recent report reported that Sauvage sales had increased at both Sephora and Ulta – making it one of the best-selling perfumes for online store sales.
