Cuts and bruises Vanessa Evans says she received after an incident of rage. A woman from Kelowna says she was pushed to the ground in a rage last week. Vanessa Evans tells Castanet she was on her way home to Highway 97 on Wednesday, June 8, when the incident happened. He had to make a right turn on Leathead Rd. but found it difficult to enter the right-hand lane after the intersection of Highway 33. “I find my opening and move on to the lane when this GMC comes out of nowhere,” he said. “I corrected quickly and returned to my original lane.” Evans says she then found it difficult to get into her lane, so she admitted she had to cut in front of the other vehicle and saw the other driver hitting his breaks. “I did an avoidance operation and moved to the right lane to avoid heavy braking, which eventually forced it to slow down,” Evans said. After that, she says the other driver started driving aggressively, driving back and forth behind her, honking the horn for two blocks. As soon as she did her turn, she says that she saw the other driver following her and so she pulled. “I get out of my vehicle, she gets out of her vehicle and starts calling me ‘crazy b ** x’ and all sorts of other names.” Evans says that when he started to move away, the other female driver grabbed her and pushed her to the ground. “I had severe bruises on my wrist and arm and an unpleasant rash on my right knee,” Evans said. The incident has been reported to the RCMP, but despite taking pictures of the other driver and the license plate, Evans says police told her they could not locate the offending driver. Castanet asked police for comment. “The unfortunate part is that the plates are not registered to the woman. “So it could be a threat to other people.”
