Takeoff, a member of the rap trio Migos, was killed in Houston, Texas, his representatives confirmed. The rapper, whose full name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was 28 years old. His bandmate Quavo was also present at the time of the incident. According to Houston Police, Quavo & Takeoff were at a private party before the shooting. They did not name the victim of a confirmed homicide, but a Takeoff spokesperson confirmed his death. TMZ reports that Takeoff was shot dead at a bowling alley after a dice game. Prior to the incident, Takeoff posted a photo of himself on his Instagram Stories with Playboi Carti’s “Stop Breathing” playing in the background. The rap star’s fans and industry figures began paying tribute online. Migos also includes rapper Offset, who is married to Cardi B. The couple have two children together, plus three more from Offset’s previous relationships.
